Bosch's auto parts franchise model in the United States has been very mature, and in recent years, Bosch has begun to turn its attention to the Chinese market. On November 3, 2014, Bosch officially launched Bosch automobile maintenance franchise business in China. It is reported that in order to better cut into the automotive aftermarket, Bosch has acquired such automobile diagnosis and maintenance products companies as busbat, Jinde, Shiqin and spik a few years ago. At the end of 2012, Bosch merged the company's business with Bosch's automotive diagnosis business and established a new "automotive service solution" business unit. At present, Bosch has factories in Nanjing, Shenzhen and Taoyuan of Taiwan specializing in the production of after-sales accessories. Among them, the Nanjing factory has invested 1.1 billion yuan, which is the largest factory in the world for the whole Bosch automobile after-sales market. Since it was put into production in 2013, 100 million spark plugs, 80 million brake pads and 25000 diagnostic equipment have been produced. In addition to Beijing and Chengdu stores, Bosch will set up Bosch car service stores in Shanghai and Guangzhou in 2015. The investment of each direct store will be between 3 million and 7 million yuan. According to Mao Limin, President of the Greater China region of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket, said: "in the future, about 30% of the accessory products of Bosch car service will be supplied by themselves. Bosch is expected to develop more than 1000 franchise stores in the next three years. "
Just a few days after the launch of Bosch car service, Italian spare parts group Marelli also announced that its fast repair chain brand "jiezhuxing" will enter China. Its goal is to develop 2000 franchise stores in 2015 and reach 5000 by 2016.
Michelin Chijia has become one of China's more than 1000 auto parts chain enterprises. As of May 2014, there are 1000 Chijia automobile service centers distributed in 31 provinces and more than 230 cities in China. It is reported that Chijia is an auto parts maintenance brand set up by Michelin for the developing automotive aftermarket. The reason why it has developed to this day is that it has solved some development pain points of China's automobile aftermarket, such as achieving a win-win situation with various capitals. This provides a successful case for the new entrants who intend to do a big job in the automotive aftermarket this year.
