Product introduction
HL - basalt mineral fiber is made of specially selected basalt and other ores as raw materials, after special pretreatment, melting at 1500 ℃, refining and drawing, and special surface treatment. The fiber surface is smooth and complete, with high safety and no harm to human body.
Performance characteristics
It has a large specific surface area: the fiber is very fine, the average diameter is 5u, and the distribution is three-dimensional. It can absorb, stabilize and reinforce asphalt mixture.
Good surface wettability: good adhesion with asphalt. Good dispersion in asphalt can ensure the reinforcement of asphalt, and can also be used as the carrier of asphalt to increase the amount of asphalt and prevent the loss of asphalt.
Excellent mechanical properties: with high tensile strength, it can effectively strengthen and toughen asphalt mixture.
The working temperature range is large: melting point is 1500 ℃, fiber performance is not affected by high temperature mixing of asphalt mixture, and it can adapt to all kinds of high and low temperature working environment of pavement.
Good chemical stability: there is no chemical reaction with asphalt during mixing, so it can adapt to various acid-base working environment of asphalt pavement.
Good water stability: no water absorption, no fear of tide. It is easy to transport and store, and also helps to resist oxidation aging of asphalt.
Good thermal insulation: it is helpful to the high temperature stability of asphalt oil film.
Good electrical insulation: it can prevent electrochemical corrosion of asphalt film.
Product application
Viscosity and asphalt modulus increase 1
SMA, OGFC and other asphalt mixtures use more coarse aggregate, and the thickness of asphalt film is reduced, which is prone to oxidative aging, water damage and fatigue damage. Mineral fiber can effectively increase the viscosity and modulus of asphalt, so it can effectively increase the asphalt content and asphalt film thickness of asphalt mixture. It is an indispensable fiber stabilizer for SMA and OGFC. The test results show that the mineral fiber for road can effectively play the role of asphalt carrier and prevent the loss of asphalt.
2. Improve high temperature resistance to rutting deformation
As mineral fiber can effectively increase the viscosity and modulus of asphalt, it is an effective technical means to improve the anti rutting deformation of various asphalt mixtures. The test results (Table 1) show that the dynamic stability of asphalt mixture increases with the increase of mineral fiber content. (Table 2) shows that mineral fiber can significantly improve the rutting resistance of SMA mixture.

Especially, the temperature sensitivity of asphalt mixture mixed with mineral fiber is greatly reduced, which is an effective technical means to solve the rutting deformation of pavement under extreme high temperature conditions.
(Table 3) is the test results of dynamic stability of "high viscosity asphalt" and "mineral fiber + SBS modified technical asphalt" mixture at 60 ℃ and below 65 ℃. The results show that the decline rate of stability of asphalt mixture with mineral fiber is smaller.

1. Improve the crack resistance at low temperature
Mineral fiber can greatly improve the tensile strength and toughness of asphalt mixture, so as to significantly improve the low temperature crack resistance of asphalt pavement. The test results of various asphalt mixtures show that the addition of mineral fiber can greatly improve the low-temperature crack resistance of various asphalt mixtures, and the effect of improving the anti cracking ability is directly proportional to the amount of fiber added. Therefore, it is an effective method to solve the severe early water damage and crack damage of asphalt pavement in China

1. Improve the water damage ability of asphalt pavement
Because mineral fiber can significantly improve the anti cracking ability of asphalt mixture, it can prevent moisture from penetrating into mixture and asphalt aggregate interface, and avoid asphalt aggregate stripping, thus preventing early water damage of asphalt pavement and improving water stability. In addition, the mineral fiber does not absorb water, which can prevent the fiber from becoming a micro channel of water and immersing into the asphalt aggregate interface.
The test results of various asphalt mixtures show that the mineral fiber can effectively improve the water stability of the mixture, and the improvement of the water resistance of the mixture is directly proportional to the amount of fiber added.

5、 Improving the anti-oxidation aging and fatigue durability of asphalt mixture
The test results show that (Table 7), mineral fiber can greatly reduce the oxidation, aging and fatigue durability of asphalt mixture, which can be increased by 400 times. Therefore, mineral fiber is a very effective means to improve the fatigue durability and service life of asphalt mixture.

Product addition
The addition amount of mineral fiber for road shall be determined according to the structure and performance requirements of asphalt mixture. Usually,
For SMA asphalt mixture, the addition amount is 0.3% - 0.5%;
For OGFC asphalt mixture, the addition amount is 0.5%;
For AC and AK asphalt mixture, the addition amount is 0.3% - 0.5%
Product mixing process
1. For batch mixing plant
Put the pre weighed mineral fiber into the mixing pot synchronously by hand, and put the fiber into dry mixing immediately after putting in the aggregate. Dry mixing time is 8-12 seconds, not more than 14 seconds! The wet mixing time is generally 45-50 seconds, which can be extended according to the needs of the mixture. Mineral fibers have no requirements for mixing temperature.
2. For continuous mixing plant
The mineral fiber is injected with asphalt synchronously in the way of air supply. There is no need to extend the mixing time. The mixing time is generally 45-50 seconds. Mineral fibers have no requirements for mixing temperature
